Everyone talks about “the summer slowdown” like it’s a law of physics.

And yes, people go poolside, inboxes get quieter, and attention gets… floaty.

But I want to tell you what summer actually feels like from inside Alt Marketing School.

When we run the certification (first half of the year + last half of the year), it’s full-on. Live delivery, coaching, community energy, behind-the-scenes chaos, the whole thing.

I love it, and it’s also a season where the days can blur into one long sprint.

So when summer rolls around and we don’t run the certification, something shifts.

We run Summer School on-demand.

And for me, summer becomes this delicious season of integration and iteration.

It’s the part where I get to zoom out, look at what we shipped, listen to what landed (and what didn’t), and quietly make things better while the world is a little less noisy.

Which is why I don’t buy the idea that summer is “pause season”.

Summer is prep season. Not pause season.

Not loud prep.

Not frantic prep.

The kind of prep that makes September feel less like restarting your engine… and more like cruising.

Here’s what that looks like, practically.
